I'd like to get the honest opinion of those of us who went to state. The only way that we can fix what isn't working is to know that it isn't working. Please list any and all suggestions that you believe would improve the next State Convention. (Please do not mention any specific member names in your postings, Thank You)

State of the Union How we need to change, succeed, and improve...after the fact

Well, this was my first State Convention and because of that I do not have a point of reference to compare it to previous conventions. That being said, I feel the level of speakers and workshops that were presented were sub-par. It felt that the workshops covered the same ground, and did nothing to enhance the organizations' political development. There are things we can do even if our guys are not in session and I feel we missed a great opportunity to begin building momentum for next year.
There should be a workshop on how to make a political grassroots campaign/organization or something to that effect next year. The speakers themselves should be divided into Planning, Action and Leadership.
A speaker to help with planning issues, a speaker to inform on how to get things done, and finally a speaker to speak on how to balance it all and lead. A speaker of each on every day: minimum. The fun events planned also could use more follow through.
The hardest issue facing our organization is time and leadership. We are only here for a short time, and making sure we can continue to move the "football" just further down should always be on our mind. We need to view the actions taken as either building or diminishing our organization. We must always strive to build up and stay aware. With new memebers coming in almost every year, with the high level of leadeship turnover, and with many young students, it would be smart to provide an "orientation" of some sorts to help bring people up to speed. Also, a thorough understanding of the Consitituion and By-laws and Robert Rules of Order is a must. We cannot conduct business if people do not know what the guidelines are. How can people play a game if they do not know how the rules? That must be stressed for all Region Meetings.
Lastly, for a group that rarely meets altogether, there is no such thing as too much communication. Those are my two cents and a shilling's worth of insight. I hope it helps.

Well said! It's vision like this that makes this organization so resilient! These are excellent ideas, and I am proud to have you in this organization. Just know that as long as we have people like you freely exchanging ideas that improve ourselves, TJCSGA will continue to "move the ball down the field."

I agree wholeheartedly that communication and passing on information is a must. We, the TJCSGA e-board, need the help of the different region e-boards as well as the e-boards of the individual schools to accomplish this. The information in the Student Uniformity Book and especially Robert's Rules of Order is quite extensive and should be discussed and passed on at each individual school especially. The TJCSGA will work to provide an accurate Uniformity Book, and it will strive to help delegates get any and all information regarding Parliamentary Procedure and the rules of TJCSGA, but it cannot do this alone. I'm looking forward to this year!
Thanks

Every time you speak, you remind me why we voted you as president, lol. I am proud to serve alongside you sir, and know that your vision for TJCSGA is one that is shared by progressives across the state. Lead on Anthony, and know that I am behind you every step of the way.

vvWe still have no idea who did the voice of the Headless Horseman, but if you're playing a male Gnome Death Knight lately, we know whose voice you've been listening to: Dino Andrade, recently interviewed wow power leveling wedding dresses Watches role wow gold Louis Vuitton Bags wow power leveling wow power leveling by Geeks of Doom, a voice actor who's probably most heard as "Pop" of the Kellogg's Rice Crispies mascots. You can hear his reels and demos on his website, and sure enough, that's our Gnome. take the script out of dcskooaalb the recording room. Andrade also says that Blizzard is keen to let voice actors do their thing -- rather than giving direction, they let the actor come up with lots of their own reads, and then wedding dresses chose the one they wanted to use. It's almost hard to believe that Blizzard's voice acting is so good, given how hands-off they are (you'd think they'd aim to connect it with the art or animation in some way), but Blizzard fans know how well it works -- the voice characterisation in Blizzard games has always been terrific. Watches rolex Very interesting -- while Blizzard's voices are one of the things that have really made their games successful, it's strange that they've never let us into the process more. Their sites are full of concept art and model designs, but it would be cool to hear an uncut recording session or find out exactly how voice recordings are integrated with the game. Maybe we'll see more on that in the future. wow gold Who would ever expect a gnome could kick so much butt. That's what's badass about them. Of course I'd expect a huge freaking cow or a skeleton to scare me. But that's just boring, and a little predictable. Blizzard effectively limited the interest in gnomish death knights when they decided to make the strength based in all trees, just like all warrior trees and (now apparently) two of three paladin trees. They could Louis Vuitton Bags have made it easier to share gear by making two or three blood knight trees based on int and spell damage, but no... So now I'm torn between making a gnome death knight for the sheer absurdity of it, and actually making a mechanically stronger character out of a human or knight elf. I'll wow power leveling probably wrestle with that decision for months before I actually get around to creating it, though 0605 LJ.

Very Interesting Assessment...but I'm not quite sure that this relates to TJCSGA, unless it is some very innovative metaphor on how we need to combine our powers to overcome obstacles, not unlike the Planeteers would join together to unleash Captain Planet! The Power is YOURS!!! :)
